Amara Salazar
Amara Salazar is excited to be entering her second year as Theatre Director and Teacher of Parkview High School! Mrs. Salazar received her degree in Speech and Theatre Education from Missouri State University in 2020, and went on to teach theatre at Lebanon High School. Prior to teaching, she finished her student teaching and worked as the Drama Assistant at Glendale High School. Mrs.Salazar has spent summers working as a Carpenter and Assistant Properties Master for The Secret Garden at Missouri State in 2020, as well as at Tent Theatre, Missouri State University’s summer repertory theater, during their 2021 season which included Beehive: The 60’s Musical and The 39 Steps. Though much of her time over the last several years has been spent behind the scenes, Mrs.Salazar also spent 2019 as a Character Performer at Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts- one of her most memorable experiences. She is thrilled to be part of PHS theatre and to continue celebrating the Imagination, Artistry, and Excellence upheld within the department!
